LSCB Policy & Procedures Sub Group Meet 130319

Many thanks to Kellie for attending the meeting and circulating the report.

Kind regards

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for attending the “Working Together for Cumbria” event organised by Cumbria Third Sector Network and Cumbria County Council on 10 September 2018.

We were delighted that so many people were keen to participate, and it proved a very interesting and productive morning highlighting both examples of good practice and the many challenges of collaborative working.

The comments received during the event have now been collated into the attached report; this was discussed at a small follow up event earlier in December with the individuals who’d expressed an interest in further involvement. We’ve agreed a number of follow up actions which are summarised on the last couple of pages of the report. Some of these have already started to move forwards – for example, Cumbria CVS staff recently attended part of Cumbria County Council’s Extended Leadership Team meeting to discuss how we can work effectively together.

As you’ll see, there will be many opportunities to become involved in the follow up work – we advertise these through the Cumbria Third Sector Network structures as details become available to ensure that they are open to a wide range of people. But if you’ve got a strong interest in getting involved in a particular piece of work, please get in touch to let us know  - Laura Rutter, Engagement Officer at Cumbria CVS will collate details of those interest (email This email address is being protected from spambots. Thank you once again for the time and energy you have already put into helping us to understand how we can work better together to support the people of Cumbria, and we look forward to working with you again over the coming months.

John Holland – Chair, Cumbria Third Sector Network

Katherine Fairclough – Chief Executive, Cumbria County Council
